i really have to say that extra hour of sleep has done wonders. David slept thru the whole night and Emma only woke once. they got up this morning without crying. they usually cry a bit, but instead they just woke up and came into our room. Now that David has educated us on what he prefers to eat for breakfast, (Pho) this morning's meal was a blast. we give them a yogurt drink when they first wake up and about an hour later i make them breakfast. we bought some of those instant Pho mixes yesterday (think top ramen) and they must have smelled it because they came RUNNING into the kitchen. they were jumping and climbing and excitedly gesturing. i couldn't cook it fast enough for them. AND showing how enthusiastic they are about their meals they both ran to their spots at the table and they both pointed to the cushions. they were planning on being as up close and personal to their food as possible. i offered them both chopsticks and forks and spoons and David and Emma both grabbed their chopsticks and went to town on their foods. David has never finished his plate but this morning he finished everything and even went for seconds.
it's funny but the kids have switched places and now David is being more animated and Emma is getting upset over every little thing. it's her turn to feel out of sorts we're guessing, and now David is trying to coax her out of it. so things are going really well for us here. even though they have colds we really want to take them to the water puppet show. we just HAVE to get out of here for a while. can you say Stir Crazy???
